Immune Boosting Juice

With 3/4 of my house suffering from various colds and viruses I thought it would be smart to give us a little immune boost with some homemade juice.


I was looking for something to help kick this cold, and also use up what I had in the fridge. So here's my recipe:


Immune Boost Juice

Ingredients:
  •  2 small apples     
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 small beet
  • 3-4 kale leaves
  • 1/2 grapefruit - peeled
  • 1 lemon - peeled
  • fresh ginger 1-2 inch nub
  • fresh turmeric 1/2- 1 inch or 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon of powder
 Instructions:


Make sure to thoroughly wash your fruits and veggies.  I don't peel or core my apples as my Omega Juicer takes care of them no problem.  Chuck all your produce into your juicer and blend away!  Give it a good stir
and drink up.  This recipe made just over 8 oz of juicy goodness.




This juice ended up being sweet and a little zippy from the grapefruit.  But my 4 year old certainly didn't mind.



It's chock-full of Vitamin C, Carotene, Vitamins A, B and K,  and oodles of more vitamins and minerals.  Just the thing to get us on the mend.
