Take a Hike - or a Walk

Last week I after eating supper (yes this was pre-cleanse) I was feeling restless and lethargic at the same time.  I was pacing the house trying to figure out what to do.  Do I go to bed at 8pm because I was feeling exhausted or start cleaning up after the kids or veg on the couch and watch TV?  It was an awful feeling of not knowing what my body or mind wanted to do. Then my husband said "Take a walk." At first I thought that was a little ridiculous after my busy day, but a second later I thought "Ya, a walk & my camera...that will work perfectly!"

So I slapped on my runners, grabbed the camera and took off down the street for a fast paced walked.  Within minutes, my head cleared and I felt awake and alert. And I was on a mission.  I headed just out of town to where the farmer's fields are. I wanted to see if I could snap a couple nice pics of the countryside.

Here's what happened next:

It's amazing what a little fresh air can do for your spirit! So take a walk or a hike or whatever.  Get outside and you  may be surprised at what beauty lies just around the corner.

  1. Hey Jennifer! Beautiful pictures! I wish I had a view like that, I'd walk outside everyday! I always jump on the treadmill after a WAH or Mom shift. I just have trouble getting started :).

Thanks for sharing those pictures with us! Happy Tuesday!

  2. So glad I saw this at http://urbannaturale.com/live-it-up-at-the-healthy-happy-green-natural-party-blog-hop-37/. Beautiful pictures of meadows and greenery. I appreciate the lovely greens, purple, yellow, and red.
