Hand Painted Tribal Feather Mug #DIY #DecoArt

Sometimes the most perfect gifts are the ones that you make yourself.  But don't worry if you're not super crafty, using Deco Art's Glass Paint Markers make this Hand painted Tribal Feather mug a quick and simple project that's perfect for just about any occasion, or to keep for yourself!

Materials:

1 ceramic cup or mug of your choice
Deco Art Glass Paint Markers - in Green, Blue, Brown, Silver, Black

Instructions:

Step 1:  Before jumping straight to the mug draw your design on paper first for practice.

Step 2:  Next, make sure to thoroughly clean and dry your mug or glass.  Also make sure that your design doesn't fall on any parts used for food.  Avoid the lip or inside of the mug - the markers aren't meant for food.

Step 3: To get the paint flowing through the markers start them on a piece of paper first to get an idea of how they draw.

Step 4:  Get crafty and start drawing your design! Start with the feather outline first and then fill it in with your patterns.

Step 5: Once complete, let your piece dry for about 8hrs. Then pop it in the oven at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes to create a dishwasher safe finish.

I couldn't believe how easy these glass paint markers were to use and how gorgeous my mug turned out. I think I might start sprucing up the rest of my dishes with some funky designs!

Disclaimer: I received the paint supplies from Deco Art for the purposes of this project.  As always, the opinions expressed are my own.
